Happy Holidays!

I MISS CHRISTMAS!?! 

Back in da day, Christmas used to be about . . . F.A.M.I.L.Y!

 

We decorated a real tree that my dad cut down from the mountains; each child received one toy they wanted and winter clothes they needed and we were thankful; a stocking filled with peppermint candle canes, walnuts, apples & oranges was another treat; and then the big family dinner with all the out-of-town relatives; after dinner, while the small kids watched Here Comes Santa and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, the older kids sat with the adults laughing, telling jokes, listening to soul music and dancing . . . that was a real Christmas! It wasn't about ipods; ipads; laptops; video games; name brand clothes; cell phones, etc . . . it was about "Spending time with family and enjoying one another". 

 

I miss Christmas!!!!
