The community is looking much better since my 100th post on garbage at the Keele and Finch intersection on March 21st. During one of my many daily walks this morning, I noticed only a few pieces of garbage near the busy bus stop (which really made me smile because a clean community will make anyone smile).
Upon reaching my apartment building, I noticed a single piece of paper on the lobby floor and being me . . I picked it up to throw in the garbage but noticed that:
On Saturday, April 20th at 11:30, a community clean-up event to improve and beautify the neighbourhood, etc. will take place . . . WHERE: Keele and Broadoaks.
Per the paper, if you plan to come out and take part in cleaning (y)our neighbourhood, you can get more details at http://www.toronto.ca/litter/clean-up/qna.htm
THE ALTERNATE DATE TO THIS EVENT IS SUNDAY APRIL 21st!
This is, definitely, excellent news for Keele and Finch . . . now, let's see about getting garbage bins at that busy bus stop. ~ gLoRiA
