It's very rarely we meet so many 'compassionate; intelligent; and talented' young people in a world filled with so much judgement due to religion, colour of skin, sexual orientation, and so on.
But I have been truly blessed to have talked, laughed, hugged, and danced with some YorkU amazing groups . . . Centre for Women and Transgender People (Cwtp at York); Opirg York; Trans-Film Screening-Series; York Federation of Students; Theatre @ York; York United Black Students' Alliance; to name a few and I sincerely thank all of those involved for welcoming and involving me in so many positive and empowering life-changing projects, events and film screenings.
And a huge thank you to all YorkU students and those I've met through the university, who embraced; respected;
shared their time and even became my FB friend . . . Ivie; Jessica O; Grace; Kim; Muhubo; Gire; Jess;
Fonna; Devonne; Danielle; Hilda; Vickie; Myles; Odion; Amee; Lucky; Victoria; Sandy; Jessica M; Brendan;
Fatima; Andrea; Jessica T; Luxshan; Janelle; Anita; Shannon; Aerissa; Auranne; Judith; Ameerah; May; Courtney; Safiyah; Sumaira; Tiffany; Kellie; Rajeevan; Bsose;
Anthony; Sarah; Tinee; Toby; and Tyler.
You all have touched my heart and made me feel welcomed . . . thank you all.
You are all amazing and courageous people and I appreciate you all. So have a safe and production time off (till September 2013)! And to the graduates, good luck after university/college and I wish you all the best life can offer.
